The chefs add more colors and value to restaurants. Their role is very important. There are many popular Italian chefs.


1. Cesare Casella


Cesare Casella is an Italian chef, restaurateur, writer and educator. He was born on 1st of March 1960 in Lucca, Italy. He is the owner and executive chef of two Italian restaurants in New York City. He is an expert in Tuscan Italian cuisine. He currently holds the position as the Dean of Italian Studies at the International Culinary Center in New York City.

Casella was very clever in cooking from his young age. He believes ‘Being Italian is not about the kind of food you eat or the fashion you wear. It is about a lifestyle that embraces simplicity, knowledge and enjoyment of life.’ He is one of great chefs in Italy and he always try to teach others about Italian cuisine.


2. Massimiliano Alajmo


Massimiliano Alajmo is an Italian chef who was born on 6th of May 1974. He is the youngest chef in Italian history to have been awarded three stars by the Michelin Guide in 2002 because of his multiple talents. Massimiliano Alajmo is a part of the fifth generation of the Alajmo family self-employed as chefs and restaurateurs who tried to develop Italian cuisine by their own methods. Since February 2013, he is a member of the board of directors and professor at the Master della Cucina Italiana, a famous culinary school which has been developed to train new young chefs.


3. Salvatore Cuomo


Salvatore Cuomo is an Italian chef, restaurateur and media personality. Salvatore Cuomo was born in Naples, Italy in 1972 by Italian father and Japanese mother. He is a very popular Italian chef because of his food-focused television shows and cookbooks. He tries to spread the Italian cuisine across Asia. He is called as "The Pizza Man" and "The Grand Chef" in Japan. Today his appearances are uncountable, with television programs and newspapers talking about him every day. He has written few books about Italian cuisine. He has been awarded from many awards because of his great talents.




4. Massimo Bottura


Massimo Bottura is the chef patron of Osteria Francescana, a three Michelin star restaurant based in Modena, Italy. Osteria Francescana has been listed in the top 5 at The World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards since 2010. It received top ratings from ESPRESSO, Gambero Rosso and the Touring Club guides too. And also it was ranked 3rd World's Best Restaurant at the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards 2013. He has written books about Italian cuisine. He is one of talented chefs in Italy.


When you talk about Italian cuisine, Italian restaurants and Italian chefs, you never will be able to finish describing about them. I personally believe that Italy is the best place for food. There is no any other best place on earth than Italy.
